CONFERENCE

A one day conference with subject "Integrated management-A Necessary step for the future of greenhouses" for the Pythagoras project (AUA), task: "Intelligent control management of root and aerial environment in greenhouse hydroponics' cultivations for integrated management products" was held in the city of Ierapetra, Crete at 15 May of 2005. Distinguished Greek and foreign scientists in the field of Agriculture will present the latest technology achievements in the area of greenhouse production management. Our company (Geomations S.A.) will present and inform participants about the latest developments in the field

INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION "AGRICULTURE 2005"

In order to inform the Greek growers on all the new techniques in agriculture and in the context of an integrated management in agriculture, our company took part in the International exhibition "Agriculture 2005" of Athens, which took place at the Metamorphosis fair center from 25^th to 28^th of February.

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Augoulas honoured the fair with his presence and joined us at our stand, where he was  informed by the agriculturalists of  GEOMATIONS S.A. about the activities of the company. The Secretary General gave us his credits for the effort we make to apply the scientific knowledge of Agricultural University to agriculture and help the Greek growers.

It is worth mentioning that more than 2000 growers visited the stand of GEOMATIONS S.A., most of whom where interested in Hydroponics. In conclusion, our participation in this fair showed us that growers have already understood that Hydroponics is one of the best methods to confront the diseases of roots, apart from the excellent quality and quantity of the products, which is undoubted.

Cooperation between Geomations S.A. - A.U.A - China

Geomations S.A. is broadening up its horizons, continuously developing research activities aiming to develop new technologies that will promote the Greek agriculture. Having a close collaboration with the Agricultural University of Athens, a joint proposal was submitted to the General Secretariat for Research and Technology concerning the development of joint research and technological projects in collaboration with scientific institutions of China, entitled "Information & Communication Technology for Sustainable Greenhouse Production".

FIELDTRIP

A fieldtrip, organized by Geomations S.A. aiming to inform consumers and growers on the cutting-edge technology it promotes, was successfully completed. Many growers attended the fieldtrip and showed a great interest in the company's activities. The audience was given a tour in greenhouses where MACQU technologies have been installed; the clients were impressed by their capabilities and results. Later, a seminar took place at the Agricultural University of Athens. The attendants had the opportunity to be extensively informed on topics of their interest (Fertigation-Hydroponics) and the technological innovations offered by Geomations S.A. in the field of greenhouse management. They were acqainted with the company's offered services, which offer a complete covering of their needs in terms of technical support.
